{"id":59871,"date":"2025-09-17T14:42:26","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T13:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/?post_type=report&#038;p=59871"},"modified":"2025-09-17T14:42:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T13:42:29","slug":"puma-2024-post-accreditation-report","status":"publish","type":"report","link":"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/reports\/puma-2024-post-accreditation-report\/","title":{"rendered":"PUMA: 2024 Post-Accreditation Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"rich-text section\" data-dc-animate>\n    <div class=\" fade-animate \"  data-dc-animate-ref=\"fadeBlocks[]\">\n        \n\n<p>In 2023 and 2024, PUMA SE, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/accountability\/fair-labor-accreditation\/\">Fair Labor Accredited<\/a> company, has successfully demonstrated alignment with Milestone 5 evaluations for year one and two, which included Fair Labor Principles 1-6: 1 (Top Management Commitment &amp; Workplace Standards), 2 (Responsible Sourcing Practices), 3 (Responsibility and Head Office Training), 4 (Training for Suppliers and Production Staff), 5 (Monitoring), and 6 (Functioning Grievance Mechanism). The remaining four principles will be evaluated in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-sky-900-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0a2eaefb564a7d1718c52dd71f986ca8\">PUMA Performance Summary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PUMA scored over 90% on all six principles evaluated in 2023-2024, representing the highest level of performance on implementation of FLA standards.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Fair Labor Accredited companies, such as PUMA, are reevaluated on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/accountability\/standards\/manufacturing\/mfg-principles\/\">FLA\u2019s 10 principles<\/a> over a three-year cycle. The 2023-2024 Milestone 5 Evaluation evaluated how PUMA maintained the alignment of its social compliance system with the following set of principles after its accreditation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Principle 1: Top Management Commitment &amp; Workplace Standards:<\/strong> Commitment to accountability and transparency through established workplace standards;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principle 2: Responsible Purchasing Practices:<\/strong> Alignment of planning and purchasing practices with commitment to workplace standards;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principle 3: Responsibility and Head Office Training:<\/strong> Identification of and training for specific staff responsible for implementing workplace standards and responsible purchasing practices, as well as training for all head office staff;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principle 4:<\/strong> <strong>Training for Suppliers and Production Staff: <\/strong>Commitment to train relevant supplier management, or all management staff and employees at owned facilities, on workplace standards and track effectiveness of supplier workforce training;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principle 5: Monitoring: <\/strong>Commitment to conduct workplace standards compliance monitoring;and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principle 6:<\/strong> <strong>Functioning<\/strong> <strong>Grievance Mechanisms: <\/strong>Commitment to ensure workers have, or provide workers with, access to functioning grievance mechanisms, which include multiple reporting channels (of which at least one is confidential).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The chart below highlights PUMA\u2019s performance (in percentages) against those six principles at the time of publication. FLA expects companies to continuously work toward reaching and maintaining complete alignment with standards.
