FLA\u2019s award-winning<\/a> flagship project, Harvesting the Future (HTF), seeks to improve human rights and labor conditions of agricultural workers and their families in our project partners\u2019 supply chains. HTF initiatives take place across T\u00fcrkiye<\/a>, Egypt<\/a>, and India<\/a>, establishing strong human rights due diligence practices around child protection and responsible recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To accomplish this, FLA brings together companies, their suppliers, civil society organizations, and governments (both local and national) that want to support meaningful and sustainable change for workers but are limited in creating large scale impact on their own. This enables us to improve labor conditions holistically as we target different leverage points along a supply chain and take advantage of each partner\u2019s complementary strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each HTF initiative is tailored to address the unique needs of workers in specific agricultural commodities and regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A recent independent assessment<\/a> of the project by the Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights found our approach is well-suited to address the structural human and labor rights challenges that seasonal migrant workers face when they travel to work on a single commodity or multiple commodities in the same year.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
