The company works with more than 157,000 farmers in 18 countries through its AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program to embed regenerative agricultural practices on farms and the surrounding landscapes. Launched in 2003 in collaboration with the NGO Rainforest Alliance, the program helps to improve the yield and quality of harvests from farms practicing what we now call regenerative agriculture and helping to improve the livelihoods of farmers and their communities.

At Nespresso, implementing a practical and actionable human rights due diligence system is a key priority. Nespresso has distinguished itself as the first multinational brand within the agricultural sector to seek the Fair Labor Association Accreditation. Since 2020, the company has made significant progress in collaboration with the Fair Labor Association to strengthen its supply chain through enhanced human rights due diligence. This includes assessments at both the governance and headquarters levels, as well as at the farm level. Additionally, Nespresso has supported the pilot and scaling up of the FLA worker engagement tool, WISE, to ensure the availability of effective grievance mechanisms. As a member of the Fair Labor Association, Nespresso recognizes the crucial roles that businesses, governments, and civil society play in helping address systemic issues across the global coffee supply chain through a collaborative and comprehensive approach.

Joined FLA: 2025

            <use xlink:href="#icon-qoute"></use>

The Nespresso’s AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program has always placed farmers at the core, fostering a value chain that works for and respects everyone.
