In addition, the program also seeks to raise awareness in the regions that grow hazelnuts, and throughout T\u00fcrkiye, to help influence the development of a sustainable model for combatting child labor more broadly.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/reports\/in-a-nutshell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>2021<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/reports\/focused-assessment-balsu-in-a-nutshell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>2022<\/strong><\/a> hazelnut harvests, FLA conducted due diligence and focused assessments of Balsu\u2019s labor monitoring and remediation program. In its third consecutive year of  focused assessments, FLA analyzed the &#8220;In a Nutshell&#8221; program&#8217;s performance during the 2023 hazelnut harvest and the winter 2023-spring 2024 activities.
