Today\u2019s vote on CSDDD is the strongest signal yet of the shift to mandatory human rights due diligence, which can play a powerful role in improving workers\u2019 lives and leveling the playing field for companies with responsible supply chain practices. Although countries like France and Germany already have mandatory due diligence legislation in place, CSDDD extends this approach across the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEffective implementation is going to be key to achieving the directive\u2019s goals.
