During this transition to \u201cthe new normal,\u201d one core question remained: How could FLA members and staff continue to translate uncertainty and change into responsiveness, resilience, and growth, and raise the bar for human rights in global supply chains?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, we developed and adopted a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/FLA-Strategic-Plan-2023-2028.pdf\">strategic <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/FLA-Strategic-Plan-2023-2028.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plan<\/a> to guide us through the next five years, building on our existing efforts to drive innovation and improve business policies and practices to benefit workers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also enhanced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/accountability\/fair-labor-accreditation\/\">Fair Labor Accreditation<\/a> program for manufacturing and agriculture companies; visited nearly 1,000 farms in 14 countries to assess companies\u2019 due diligence programs and working conditions at the farm level; drove action on living wages in Vi\u1ec7t Nam; strengthened enterprise-level grievance mechanisms in Uzbekistan&#8217;s cotton industry; continued to transform child protection and responsible recruitment in T\u00fcrkiye; and actively investigated reported violations of the rights of more than 15,000 workers through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/accountability\/fair-labor-investigations\/\">Fair Labor Investigations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We launched a resource to share best practices among university members and strengthened learning opportunities for collegiate licensees.
