Many college and university students want to live in a world where workers\u2019 rights are protected, and workplaces are fair and safe. These students aim to make this a reality through their academic study, campus leadership, and extracurricular activities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FLA supports college students dedicated to human rights through a student committee that provides opportunities for real-world learning, professional development, and networking with peers, subject matter experts, and FLA staff.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I have recommended the committee to classmates, because it was a great way to learn from industry professionals outside of school and meet students from other schools who have the same passions.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

Guest speaker seminars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Monthy seminars during the academic year offer students the opportunity to network with peers, learn from subject matter experts, and interact with professionals and academics in the fields of human rights and social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to resources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Committee members gain access to FLA e-Learning modules, invitations to board and University Caucus meetings, and opportunities to attend other events. Students receive regular emails with resources and timely information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional development projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

FLA supports committee members who choose to contribute to the conversation on business and human rights through a professional development project. In past years, students developed a journal compiled of research articles. Previous professional development projects from committee members are available below.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
